John Rowell
Dipl. (Capilano), B.A. (Kwantlen), M.A. (Simon Fraser)

John’s research and teaching focuses on rhetorical strategies in both writing and speech, with an emphasis on the composition of different forms of communication. Guiding students to identify and analyse the components of written communication has proven to be an effective method of teaching students at both the high school and undergraduate levels. He has lectured at Kwantlen University and Simon Fraser University on both theatre and literature, and has presented research on Restoration drama at McGill University and on Shakespeare at Northumbria University for the British Shakespeare Association. His publications include “Manufactured Memory and the Staging of Two Toms: The Relevance of Tom Wingfield’s Absence in Scene Seven of The Glass Menagerie” for the Tennessee Williams Annual Review.
